Who is Joaquim Vives?

Joaquim Vives Caros, better known as Quim Vives, was born in Mataró in February 1949. He is a freelance amateur photographer with a particular passion for sports photography, especially swimming, water polo, hockey and cycling.

Quim Vives has collaborated with Ràdio La Veu, has shared his work across various social media platforms, and has also contributed photographs to Capgròs magazine. He has also covered the Volta a Catalunya and the stages of the Vuelta a España held in Mataró.

Beyond photography, Quim Vives has been a devoted participant in Les Santes for many years and experiences the city's festival with great enthusiasm. His whole family shares this tradition: his daughter takes part as a Diablessa, his son and daughter-in-law have been members of the Tabalers Do Maresme, and his grandson plays the gralla during the early morning performances with the group EMMM.
