Who is Miquel Roig?

Miquel Roig Piñeiro was born in Mataró in 1999. He currently works in analogue photography, a field of the photographic arts that he is deeply passionate about.

Alongside his work in still photography, he directed the feature film "Dies d'estiu i de pluja" as part of the Col·lectiu Espurnes. The film premiered at the 2025 Málaga Film Festival and was later released in cinemas. As Director of Photography, he captured in motion the landscapes of the Aragonese Pyrenees that had long fascinated him.

He has always experienced Les Santes with great enthusiasm and has admired its iconic figures and events, just like so many other people from Mataró. His family instilled in him a love for the city and taught him to enjoy the best days of the year—Les Santes—and to appreciate all the small details that make our festival truly unique.
