Barça are league champions and at Espai Robafaves we celebrated the way we know best: with giants! Visca el Barça i visca Catalunya! 💙❤️

A blaugrana shop window in Mataró

To celebrate the title, we dressed the window of Espai Robafaves, at 7 Carrer de Montserrat in Mataró, in blaugrana colours: the giant Lamine de Faió in the Barça shirt, the senyera, the Barça flag and our Giants of Mataró T-shirts.

We shared the visit in a reel made together with @gegantseduard, set to the song «1899 Neix el Club Que Porto al Cor».

Who is the giant Lamine de Faió?

It is the giant of Lamine Yamal, the Barça player born in Mataró. It stands 2.40 metres tall, wears the number 19 shirt and belongs to the Gegants Eduard association, a family group from Ivars d’Urgell.

It was built by Eduard’s grandfather from a capgròs that a cousin had rescued from her school, and his grandmother sewed the costume. It was presented in Faió, Aragon, for the 15th anniversary of the Penya Blaugrana de Faió, which is where its name comes from.

Mataró still has no giant of its most famous player, but that day Lamine de Faió came to celebrate the league title at Espai Robafaves. Read the full story in Capgròs (in Catalan).
