The Diablesses of Mataró at the Anada a la Residència Sant Josep in 2019.

Every 28 July, the official festive groups, the authorities and the Banda de l’Agrupació Musical del Maresme visit the Residència Sant Josep care home. After the sardanes, the figures perform their own dances there.

The Diablesses of Mataró, founded in 1985, were the first group in Catalonia made up entirely of women. Each diablessa carries a firework on her club that creates an umbrella of sparks over the crowd.

The Diablesses are accompanied by drums, snare drums, bass drum and pailes. In their displays, six diablesses surround a large fork loaded with fireworks while the drummers accompany the lighting.
