avier Mariscal and the 2024 Argentona water jug: art and tradition in our showcase

Javier Mariscal, author of the 2024 Argentona Water Jug

From our Espai Robafaves, we are proud to pay tribute to one of the most iconic festivals in the Catalan calendar: the Argentona Water Jug Festival (Festa del Càntir). And this year, we do it alongside one of the most influential names in contemporary design and illustration: Javier Mariscal.

The creator of the legendary Cobi, mascot of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, was commissioned to design the 2024 Argentona water jug. At Robafaves.cat, we want to thank him and his team at Estudio Mariscal for kindly sharing a collection of original sketches from the creative process.
