A visit full of history, fire and celebration for the little ones

At Espai Robafaves, we continue to welcome festive figures from all over Catalonia to bring popular culture closer to children and adults alike. This spring, we’re especially excited to announce that, from April 1 to 13, 2024, we will host a very special guest: the fire figures of the Festa de la Fil·loxera of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia!

🕘 Monday to Friday: 10 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm · Saturdays: 10 am to 1 pm

What is the Festa de la Fil·loxera? 🍇🪲

The Festa de la Fil·loxera is a popular celebration in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia that commemorates how, in the late 19th century, the townspeople overcame the devastating phylloxera plague that destroyed the local vineyards.

The fire figures starring in this festival represent the symbolic struggle between the people and the pest, and have become a key element of Catalan folk and wine culture.

Now, for the first time, they arrive in Mataró to capture the imagination of children through our cultural space!
