This moment is more than just an image: it is the living memory of a city that celebrates until the very last second. A spark that refuses to die.

Because when the end comes, what remains is this: the shared emotion of a city that loves its festival until its very last breath.

Who is Victor Rodríguez?

I'm Víctor, a 23-year-old from Mataró with a degree in English Studies. Since I was a child, I’ve experienced Les Santes and the city’s festivities with joy, excitement, and happiness. In 2009, seeing how much I always enjoyed the giants, my grandfather decided to start a project: the creation of a new figure for the neighbourhood. With great dedication and love, the figure Serranet and two big heads were born — a gift to the Camí de la Serra Neighbourhood Association.

Years later, after finishing secondary school, my passion for Mataró’s culture led me to start recording videos and posting them on social media. On July 28, 2017, my YouTube channel Santeros! and the Instagram account were born. The incredibly positive feedback I started receiving encouraged me to improve the video quality and editing. Even though I’ve always preferred to stay under the radar, many people now recognise me and thank me for the work I’ve done selflessly over the years. With my channel, I have only one goal: to help everyone who loves Mataró’s traditions and popular culture — and beyond — enjoy them as much as I enjoy filming them.
