THE EQUIPS DE SUPORT ARRIVE AT ESPAI ROBAFAVES!
Passion for celebration and commitment to safety
At Robafaves.cat, we celebrate every part of popular culture—including those that don’t shoot sparks or make giants dance, but are essential to ensure the celebration is safe, coordinated, and lived to the fullest.
That’s why we’re especially excited to welcome an exhibition dedicated to Mataró’s Support Teams, showcasing their uniforms, history, and values!
馃搮 From June 13 to 29, 2024
馃搷 Espai Robafaves – c/ Montserrat, 7, Mataró
Come and discover the quiet, courageous side of our festivals!
Where do the Support Teams come from?
Their story begins in 1994, during the Escapada a Negra Nit, when the first coordination and safety structure was created as part of Les Santes.
By 1998, with support from the City of Mataró, the teams were equipped and trained in prevention and intervention, taking a big step toward professionalization.
It wasn’t until 2007 that they became a formal organization, which marked a significant expansion of their involvement in city events. Since then, they’ve deepened their specialization through training with firefighters, the Red Cross, and other technical services.
What do the Support Teams do?
They are responsible for:
- Ensuring safety during public and cultural events
- Coordinating, preventing, and acting as first responders
- Providing active support to specialized emergency services
All of this is done with a 100% volunteer spirit, driven by a love for Catalan culture, qualified training, and deep local commitment.
Thank you, Mataró Support Teams! 馃檶
