Les Santes de Mataró T-shirts

At Robafaves we started by making one T-shirt for each figure of Les Santes: Robafaves, the Geganta, the Àliga, the Diablesses, the Drac… Over the years new ones have come out with the whole procession together, like the Robafaves 15th anniversary T-shirt, with the Giants and the fire figures in a single embroidery. We embroider all our Les Santes T-shirts in Mataró.

A T-shirt for every moment of the festival

During Les Santes, lots of people go out wearing the T-shirt of their favourite figure. Each figure has its own events:

• The Giants (Robafaves, the Geganta, Toneta and Maneló): on the Nit Boja they go down La Riera to Plaça de Santa Anna to the sound of El Bequetero, while the crowd crouches and counts to 15.
• The Diablesses, the Momerota and the Drac: they host the Escapada a Negra Nit, the big correfoc on the night of the 25th.
• The Momeroteta and the Dragalió: they lead the Correguspira at the Tarda Guillada, the children’s Nit Boja, on 26 July.
• The Àliga: on the day of the Crida, it is the only figure that comes out from inside City Hall.

And at every Dormida, when Robafaves finishes dancing in front of City Hall, the kids shout «No n’hi ha prou!» so he dances again.

Les Santes, all year round

Since 2010 we have been dressing the people of Mataró with the Giants and the figures of Les Santes. It isn’t the official T-shirt, which the City Council makes every year with the poster, but the one for the whole year: the one people wear to the Crida, but also to school, to the beach or to any gegantada.
