Who is Toneta of Mataró?

Toneta is the daughter of Robafaves and the Geganta and is a member of the Família Robafaves, alongside Robafaves, the Geganta and Maneló.

Her origins can be traced with near certainty to 1853, and she is considered one of the first giant figures in Catalonia created as the daughter of a pair of giants.

By 1957, Toneta already had the long blonde hair that characterises her today. She wears shades of pink and lilac, carries a bouquet of fresh flowers in her right hand and holds her skirt with her left.

She takes part alongside the rest of the Família Robafaves in the events and parades of Les Santes, Mataró's Festa Major.
