Who is the Dragalió of Mataró?

The Dragalió of Mataró is the son of the Drac de Mataró and the Víbria del Poblenou. His story began on 23 April 2007, on Sant Jordi, when he first appeared in the form of a large egg.

On 25 July 2007, at the beginning of Les Santes, the Dragalió emerged from the egg. He is a smaller fire figure than the Drac, carried by one person and with several features resembling his father. He was designed and built by Xevi Ribas.
