Bringing Back a Piece of Our Tradition
Bringing Back an Iconic Piece of Les Santes
With GUSPIRA, our Mataró Correfoc Hat, we bring back a piece that was part of the streets of Mataró during Les Santes for many years. A functional and symbolic accessory that protected against fire and sparks while also becoming part of the visual identity of Mataró's correfocs.
Crafted entirely in Catalonia and embroidered in Mataró, GUSPIRA recovers the essence of the city's traditional correfoc hats and connects it with the contemporary spirit of the festival.
A Tribute to Nefer Rovira
Driven by Ferran Muñoz Pérez, GUSPIRA brings back the traditional Mataró Correfoc Hat and connects it with another essential piece of our cultural heritage: the work of artist Nefer Rovira.
To do so, it features a version of one of the moons created by Nefer Rovira for the costumes of the Diablesses de Mataró, one of the most iconic groups of Les Santes.
Her work has helped shape the visual identity of the city's main festival for decades and forms part of the collective memory of generations of people from Mataró.
This edition has been created with the artist's approval and is, above all, a tribute to her legacy and to all those who, through their creativity and perseverance, have helped build the popular culture of our city.
The black exterior recalls the classic appearance of Mataró's traditional correfoc hats, while the red interior evokes the burst of sparks that welcomes the Escapada a Negra Nit.
Made for Experiencing the Mataró Correfoc
The hat is one of the most recommended accessories for taking part in a correfoc. Its design helps protect the head and neck from sparks while providing comfort throughout the celebration.
But in the Mataró correfoc, the hat is much more than protective gear. It is a way of feeling part of a tradition that remains alive year after year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Hat Size Do I Need?
To choose the correct size, measure the circumference of your head using a flexible measuring tape.
Place the tape approximately 1 cm above your ears and eyebrows, wrapping it around the widest part of your head. The measurement obtained in centimetres corresponds to your hat size.
Tip: if you are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one to ensure greater comfort during the correfoc.
Is it suitable for a correfoc?
Yes. Its design covers the head and neck, helping protect against sparks. For greater protection, we recommend pairing it with a thick cotton scarf.
Who is Nefer Rovira?
Nefer Rovira is an artist from Mataró closely linked to the visual universe of Les Santes. Among her most celebrated creations are the moons featured on the costumes of the Diablesses de Mataró, now one of the most recognizable symbols of the festival.
Where is it made?
The hat is crafted entirely in Catalonia and embroidered in Mataró.
Is it a limited edition?
Yes. Production for Les Santes 2026 is limited. Once all available units are sold out, it will not be produced again until the next edition of Les Santes.
The Return of a Mataró Correfoc Classic
Some traditions disappear because nobody continues them.
With GUSPIRA, we have chosen to do the opposite.
We are bringing back the Mataró Correfoc Hat so it can continue to be part of the streets, the correfocs and Les Santes. At the same time, we celebrate the legacy of Nefer Rovira, an essential creator in the festive imagination of the city.
At Robafaves, we stand for what makes us unique: popular culture, tradition and the people who keep them alive.
