The Diablesses de Mataró correfoc cape is an exclusive Robafaves design inspired by one of the most emblematic fire groups of Les Santes. Designed and made in Mataró, it is crafted mainly from 100% heavyweight cotton and is available in children’s and adult sizes.

Its black and red design features the characteristic horns of the Diablesses de Mataró, an embroidered Diablessa figure and a red flame on the back. A cape created for experiencing correfocs, Les Santes and Catalan popular culture with a distinctly Mataró design.

Materials and construction

The cape is made from two layers of cotton: a black outer fabric weighing 400 g/m² and a red inner fabric weighing 160 g/m². This combination creates a thick and durable garment designed for both children and adults.

The Diablessa de Mataró figure is sublimation printed onto a small piece of polyester, which is then embroidered and sewn onto the cape. The rest of the cape is made from 100% cotton.

Correfoc cape sizes

The Diablesses de Mataró correfoc cape is available in three sizes for children and adults:

• Small: approximately 3 to 6 years. Length: 60 cm from the back of the neck to the bottom of the cape.
• Medium: approximately 7 to 9 years. Length: 76.5 cm from the back of the neck to the bottom of the cape.
• Large (Adult): approximately age 10 to adult. Length: 1 metre from the back of the neck to the bottom of the cape.

Is this correfoc cape flame-resistant?

No. This correfoc cape is not flame-resistant and has not received a flame-retardant treatment. It is made mainly from 100% heavyweight cotton, but any fabric can burn or become damaged when exposed directly to flames, sparks or sources of heat.

For this reason, the cape does not replace the safety measures or instructions provided by the organisers of each correfoc. Always follow the event’s safety recommendations and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
