Who is Drac of Mataró?

Drac is one of Mataró’s fire figures. The current figure was built by Manel Casserres and first presented on 20 April 1991.

Its design is inspired by the winged dragon that appears on Robafaves’ helmet. It has eight fixed fire points as well as a mechanism that allows it to shoot fire from its mouth.

Drac takes part in different popular culture events in Mataró and is one of the figures seen during Les Santes, particularly in fire events such as Escapada a Negra Nit.
