Who are the Diablesses de Mataró?

Les Diablesses de Mataró are an all-female fire group founded in 1985. The group consists of 38 Diablesses and around twenty musicians.

Each Diablessa carries a mace prepared for burning carretilles and, since 1994, also carries a sarró with capacity for approximately twenty carretilles. The current Diablesses costumes were designed by Nefer Rovira.

During Les Santes, the Diablesses take part in different events of the Festa Major de Mataró and are the hosts of Escapada a Negra Nit.
