Who is Robafaves of Mataró?

Robafaves is one of the Giants of Mataró and leads the Família Robafaves, which also includes Geganta, Toneta and Maneló.

He has the appearance of a medieval warrior, with a helmet, cape, chainmail and sword, and his image is inspired by King James I the Conqueror. In his left hand he carries a scroll connected to the legend explaining the origin of his name.

He is one of the best-known figures of Les Santes de Mataró and takes part, together with the rest of the Família Robafaves, in different events during the Festa Major.
