Who is the Dragalió of Mataró?
The Dragalió of Mataró is the son of the Drac de Mataró and the Víbria del Poblenou. Its story began on 23 April 2007, Sant Jordi, when it was presented in the form of a large egg.
On 25 July 2007, coinciding with the beginning of Les Santes, the Dragalió emerged from the egg and made its first appearance. The figure was designed and built by Xevi Ribas.
It is a smaller fire figure than the Drac, carried by one person and with several features reminiscent of its father. It takes part in events during Les Santes, Mataró's Festa Major, particularly the Correguspira.
