12.00 €

A red correfoc scarf to cover your face, mouth and nose when the sparks start flying. Made from 100% cotton, it helps cover these areas from direct contact with sparks and is also useful in the dusty and smoky conditions that can occur during a correfoc.

The Red Diablessa Correfoc Scarf is made entirely in Catalonia and features a design of a Diablessa of Mataró, sublimated onto polyester and embroidered onto the fabric.

During a correfoc, it can be worn over the nose and mouth or used to cover the back of the neck, together with a correfoc hat and suitable clothing.

Prefer it in black? This design is also available in another colour. See the Black Diablessa Correfoc Scarf.

Why wear a correfoc scarf?

When taking part in a correfoc, sparks can reach your face and neck. A scarf helps cover areas of skin that would otherwise be exposed and can also be placed over the mouth and nose.

It is made from 100% cotton, avoiding synthetic fibres in the main fabric of the scarf. When taking part in events involving pyrotechnics, it is important to wear suitable clothing, cover as much of the body as possible and always follow the instructions provided by the organisers.

The damp scarf trick

A common practice among correfoc participants and members of fire groups is to dampen the scarf with water before or during the correfoc. Wearing it damp over the mouth and nose can feel more comfortable when there is dust, smoke or very dry air.

However, it is important to remember that a cotton scarf is not certified respiratory protection and does not filter gases from smoke. If smoke makes breathing difficult, move away from the area and get to fresh air.

100% cotton for the correfoc

The scarf is made from thick 100% cotton fabric. For events involving pyrotechnics, natural-fibre clothing is preferable and exposed synthetic fabrics should be avoided.

Its format allows it to be used to cover the mouth, nose, face or back of the neck, depending on the situation, and combined with the rest of the clothing normally worn for protection during a correfoc.

Embroidered Diablessa of Mataró

The scarf features a design of a Diablessa of Mataró, sublimated onto polyester and embroidered onto the fabric. The embroidery adds texture and relief to the design.

This is the red version. If you prefer a darker alternative, you can find the same design on the Black Diablessa Correfoc Scarf.
