Momerota is a fire figure from Mataró and one of the figures taking part in Les Santes de Mataró.

It was built by actor Boris Ruiz and first presented in 1979. It is carried by two people and has a distinctive appearance: a bull’s head, two horns with fire points and the body of a mulassa.

Momerota is the mother of Momeroteta, another of Mataró’s fire figures. Both take part in different popular culture events in the city and during Les Santes.
